VIVA on the Road brings you a staged reading of playwright A.R. Gurney’s haunting testament to the power of love. 
Melissa and Andrew are childhood friends whose romance spans fifty years of friendship, flirtation, missed chances, and blissful reunions.
The lovers pour out their hearts to each other on paper, sending messages across the miles – and years – that separate their souls.
Love Letters is one of Gurney’s most beloved plays, filled with humor, warmth, and sadness. It was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in Drama. Another of Gurney’s plays, The Dining Room, was the sell-out hit for VIVA’s spring show in May 2018.
